Unhappy

    Buehrle failed to get that 20th win. A dramatic 8th inning homer knocked him out, 3-2.

    But, he's young AND good enough to get many more shots at 20.

    Thank God Wells and Fogg aren't there with him. It would be troublesome for the Tribe.

    So would Thome, who has a home in the Chicago area. If Frank Thomas goes, does Thome get courted?

    How on earth would the WSox move Thomas? With that contract, and LARGE physique, no one in their right mind would take him.

    But, with Crede, Borchard ready to go, the WSox could be tough next year.

    19 instead of 20. 39 instead of 40. 499 instead of 500. Funny thing is, if there had been a baseball strike, most people would be saying Selig kept Sammy from getting 500, Soriano & Vald from getting 40, and in Chicago, the Mecca of the Baseball World, particularly on the southside, where we don't take any lip from 54-year-old 1st base coaches,...I forgot where I was going with this.

    Nevermind. Let's start fresh.

    Tribe suc...Oh wait, this isn't cleveland.com. Sorry, I forgot where I was for a minute. {Momentary Lapse Of Reason. Pink Floyd .......Zombie}

    And about The Big Hurt. With the diminished skills clause in his contract, it means the WSox will still pay him the rest of the 40 million over the next few decades, but they only have to pay him the league minimum for the remainder of his contract...or he can hook up with another team.

    It'll give the WSox another 8 million dollars to work with this off-season. But the clause is basically meant to push Frank out the door. Though, I do agree that the WSox might need the assistance of the other 24 players on the roster, and running start, to accomplish that feat.
